Free Family Fun

My son is obsessed with trains.  Well, really, its transportation in general. Airplanes, cars, trucks, monster trucks, he'll take them all, but trains are his favorite.  So recently my husband suggested an afternoon trip to the local Amtrak station to watch a train come in and leave, horn tooting and everything.

 Some tips:
1. Call ahead, or check online for the times the trains come in. 

 2. Prepare for them to be late (like ours was)

 3. Bring a snack! We stopped for coffee and doughnuts. The sugar made it that much more exciting!

 4. Take pictures of their faces. It was priceless.

 5. Have fun!!
